ONLINE PETITION TO BLOCK THE PAROLE OF THE "MOVE 9"

At the time I completed signing the below petition the total number of signatures was only 215. I was standing almost beside Jim Ramp when he was fatally shot, only the width of a telephone pole seperated us that day. I hope that I can get more people to remember these vicious murderers and sign the below petition.

John Monaghan
Retired detective, Phila. P.D.
Former member, Phila. P.D. Stakeout Unit

Description/History:

The MOVE 9 were convicted and sentenced to 30-100 year jail sentences in 1981 for the murder of police officer James Ramp and for the attempted murder of seven other police officers and firefighters during a MOVE instigated 1978 shoot-out in Philadelphia.

At sentencing, Judge Maimed said that he found the notion of rehabilitation for MOVE members to be "absurd" and that each must share equally the guilt for the killing and attempted murders.

Soon, the parole proceedings will begin for the surviving eight members of "MOVE 9" (one member of the cult died in prison in 1998) and MOVE has been attempting to pressure the parole board into releasing these convicted murderers.

It should be noted that one of the MOVE members involved in the 1978 killing, and who was tried separately from the other MOVE members has already been released on parole.

These cop-killers have never taken responsibility for their actions and despite being in jail, have worked to recruit new adherents for the sect and disseminate it's vulgar message of hate.

Petition:

We, the undersigned, call upon the parole board to not be swayed by "MOVE 9"

Sign The Petition

We're asking all active & retired Law Enforcement Officers to sign this petition, and to pass the message on to those you know who support the Law Enforcement Community.
